ABA Tech Show for Law Students

abatech13The ABA Tech Show, which starts this Wednesday at Hilton Chicago on Michigan Avenue, showcases  the latest technologies in the legal world.   And students get a great bargain – access to all the programs and the exhibit hall is just $100 for law students.

The Tech Show starts with an evening reception on Wednesday.  Educational sessions go from Thursday to Saturday.  Topics include everything from courtroom technology, using social media to market your practice, getting the most out of Adobe Acrobat, using tablets for legal work, and online security.  There are even sessions for legal Mac users!

If you don’t have time to attend the whole conference, you can visit the exhibit hall Expo for free.  This year’s vendors include Amicus Attorney (practice management software), DirectLaw (create interactive legal websites), and SpeakWrite (dictation and transcription tools).  Visiting the vendors is a great way to discover the latest legal technology products — not to mention stock up on a year’s supply of pens!

Two of us will attend the whole conference.  We’ll let you know what we learned when we get back.
