Welcome 1Ls & Transfers: New Library Resources

Welcome to Chicago-Kent!  Below you will find the information you need to access library materials including Westlaw, Lexis, West Academic Study Aids (WASA), Procertas, and CALI.

Please set up your accounts now and let us know if you experience any problems.

Emails to look for:

One from Westlaw and one from Procertas.  These have special login instructions you will need to follow.

Legal Research Database Accounts

Westlaw: You should have received an email with registration instructions from Westlaw with a “registration key” (check your spam just in case).  Please respond to the email from Debbie Ginsberg if you did not receive it.

Lexis: Please go to thLexis Registration site to set up access with your Chicago-Kent email address and the registration code you received via email.  Follow the prompts on the screen to complete your registration and create your custom ID and password.  Set this up before the code expires!

Personal Accounts for Library Resources

Note that WASA is not included in Westlaw, this is a separate account.

CALI:

CALI.org is a site that offers hundreds of tutorials on a wide variety of legal subjects.  Check out the ones on criminal law.  To sign up for CALI, use the instructions here (you must be logged into your kentlaw Google account to access this Google Doc).
