Professor Harold Koh of Yale Law School delivered Chicago-Kent’s annual Centennial Lecture, titled “Preserving the International Rule of Law in the Trump Administration,” on January 31, 2017.
Professor Koh is the Sterling Professor of International Law at Yale Law School. He is an expert in public and private international law. He began teaching at Yale Law School in 1985, and served as the Dean of Yale Law School from 2004-2009.
From 1998-2001, he served as U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, and more recently, from 2009-2013, he served as the Legal Adviser to the State Department during the Obama Administration.
