How have social networks and other online technologies changed the way we do politics? In her latest blog post, Professor Lori Andrews comments on the use of online-tracking techniques by presidential campaigns to acquire voter data and to use that data in campaign advertising strategies. Such actions, says Andrews, encroach on our fundamental right to privacy online. Instead, she calls for a “do-not-track list, like the do-not-call one, in order to protect us from prying eyes on the Web.”
