Expert Systems and Robot Lawyers
You may have read about the “Robot Lawyer” DoNotPay who can fix parking tickets (not in Chicago, sorry). It sounds amazing, but the reality turns out to be quite simple. The parking ticket regulations are pretty clear, and clients can get out of the ticket if they meet certain exceptions. New Tools in Legal Research: Ravel Law Judge Analytics
Ravel Law is a free tool for legal research (like Google Scholar and Casetext). Ravel Law has added a feature not found in most legal research resources – analytics. Ravel’s Judge Analytics data provides detailed information about how individual judges think and rule on particular matters. This tool recently won an award for best new product of the year.
