Remote Library Services During Shutdown

Chicago-Kent Law Library is closed to onsite access starting Tuesday, March 17.

The library staff will be available to assist with research questions and questions about accessing library resources remotely. Faculty and students can email us at with research questions or for help with library services.

Electronic Access to Casebooks and Bluebooks

The library is working with publishers that offer free access to electronic casebooks during the Covid-19 emergency. Check our post on Electronic Access to Casebooks and the Bluebook. We will update the post with new resources as we learn about them.

Online Resources

Many library resources are available through our website, guides, and blog anytime, anywhere you have internet access. Anyone with a kentlaw email account can log into our research databases off-campus by using the Electronic Resources links on the library website for databases, journals, and more.

Our Research Guides offer focused help for different types of legal research or to provide support for specific classes or assignments.

This blog includes a range of posts introducing library resources and tech tips for students with links and screenshots to help you get started. For instance, don’t forget about our Procertas Raffle, where students can win a $25 Starbucks gift card by completing the Word Brief module by 4/27!

Print Resources

If you have a question about print resources, please email at from 8:30am-5:00 pm.

At this time, I-Share services have been suspended and many Interlibrary Loan departments across the country have shut down. Accessing books from other libraries at this time may not be possible. Journal article requests have a better chance of being supplied from electronic databases.

If you aren’t able to renew your checked-out items, contact us and we can do that for you.

If you want to return an item, please use the 2nd floor bookdrop.

Library Services
