There’s a new version of the Microsoft Office Suite available now – Office 2016. For most PC users on Windows, you won’t notice a drastic change from Office 2013, but it’s a major upgrade for anyone using a Mac or who wants to use it on a mobile device.
Why would you want to give it a try? I’ve found the help tips are better, it makes simple tasks like finding documents you’ve used recently faster and some complicated tools that used to be buried in hidden pop-up menus are a lot easier to find and use – especially for anyone using complicated styles in Microsoft Word.

Our ITS staff will schedule an installation for you on your work PC on your request, but you can also use your Chicago-Kent account to install this software on other personal devices if you wish.
Here’s the information for Faculty and Staff that was sent out last year – the license should work for PCs, Macs, iPhones, iPads, Android devices, Windows tablets and Blackberry and Nokia phones and will be available for the duration of your work for the law school.
Office 365 for Faculty & Staff
Office 365 is now available to Faculty and Staff at no additional cost. Office 365 includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. and can be installed on up to 15 devices i.e 5 installs of Office on PC/Mac, 5 installs of Office on iPad & 5 installs of Office Mobile on all smart phones.
Please note that all institutionally owned computers/laptops already have Microsoft Office installed by the Information Technology Services department. Please do not re-install the software on your institutionally owned computers/laptops. For institutionally purchased tablets/phones and all personal computers/laptops/tablets/
