Tech Tip: Connect with Chicago-Kent on Social Media

For those of you on social media, you may already be aware that Chicago-Kent has an active presence with its main accounts. However, did you know that many of the departments here have their own individual accounts?

To help you in keeping up with updates, events and activities associated with Chicago-Kent, we thought we would direct you to a list of the various social media accounts of the school as well as include tips to help you receive the information you want.

You can currently view a list of existing Chicago-Kent accounts here on the school’s Social Media Directory. If you would like a quick general view of what’s going to help you decide which accounts to follow, visit our Social Media Hub to give you a taste of the types of content you are likely to see.

Additionally, you can follow these Facebook and Twitter lists or create your own (you must be logged in).

On Twitter, you can set notifications for a particular page by clicking on the small gear icon on the top right hand side of the page.

TwitterNotificationsOn Facebook, you can adjust your settings to receive a notification each time an account posts an update.

Liking and Sharing

If you don’t want to set up specific notifications, taking the time to like and share posts that are of interest to you is also recommended. Due to Facebook’s algorithms, just because you’ve ‘Liked’ a page itself, it may still not consistently appear in your news-feed. Liking and sharing posts helps keep content of interest appearing in your feed.

Doing this also increases the school’s online visibility and reach, which is always appreciated!
