Research in Progress – August 2009

Steven Heyman is currently at work on a study of the First Amendment jurisprudence of Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes.

Nancy Marder completed her article, The Conundrum of Cameras in the Courtroom. She also completed her chapter, Instructing the Jury, for The Oxford Handbook of Language and Law.

Professor Marder is now writing an article with the working title, “Theories of Juror Bias, Voir Dire and Jury Decision-making.”

Richard Warner received a contract from Chapman and Hall/CRC to write a co-authored book, Unauthorized Access: The Crisis in Online Privacy and Security. His co-author is Robert Sloan, Head of the Computer Science Department at University of Illinois-Chicago. The plan is to explain law to computer scientists and computer science to lawyers.
