Hi all,

Happy Monday!  Unlike the weather predictions (cold and rainy), this weekend turned out to be beautiful!  Maybe not summer-like weather, but I’ll take 70 and sunny any day of the year!  And it’s a good thing it was so nice outside because the highly anticipated 606 trail officially opened on Saturday, June 6th.  For everyone who doesn’t know, The 606 is a combination of 6 ground-level parks connected by a 2.7-mile elevated trail between Wicker Park/Bucktown and Logan Square/Humboldt Park.  The elevated trail, Bloomingdale Trail, is the centerpiece of The 606 and was designed out of abandoned railroad tracks – pretty cool if you ask me!  If you are familiar with the High Line in NYC, The 606 is very similar except The 606 allows bikes (NYC -0, Chicago-1).  So if you live on the west side or just want something nice to do on a summer day, go check out The 606.
